To Find Gold to Mine, Look to Where Gold Has Been Found and Mined

Archean Star Resources Inc's Gnaweeda Gold Project is located at the northern end of the Meekatharra Gold Field, approximately 740 road km from Perth, at the northern portion of the highly prolific Murchison Gold Belt, Western Australia.

In gold production terms and size of gold deposits, the Murchison Gold Belt with over 18 million ounces of gold produced is considered "Elephant Country"and production compares with the Red Lake mining district in Canada, with approximately 25 million ounces produced. Just two of Murchison's major deposits, Mount Magnet, Big Bell Gold Field (8,000,000 + ounces) and Meekatharra Gold Field (3,500,000 + ounces from the Meekatharra, Paddy's Flat and Reedy deposits.) have produced most of the gold. The Meekatharra Gold Field still has a reported approximately 3,300,000 ounces of gold resources still to be mined.

Gnaweeda. which lies approximately 35 km north-east of the town of Meekatharra, consists of two larger and three smaller tenements approximately 170 square km in size. Gnaweeda hosts several gold prospects on two contiguous tenements over a 28 km strike length of highly prospective rocks in the Archean-age Gnaweeda Greenstone Belt, including Turnberry, where drilling has identified grades as high as 69 g/t Au and 2 meters at 33 g/t Au, and Bunarra with grades as high as 99.1 g/t Au and 18 meters of 11.71 g/t Au. Numerous other targets have been identified from geophysics.

Aside from Archean's operations north-east of Meekatharra, Reed Resources, an ASX listed company, has recently taken over the Meekatharra Gold Field and begun operations to produce gold from the current known 3,300,000 ounce/Au resource, and Doray Minerals, also an ASX listed company, has recently announced a resource of 329,000 ounces/Au at its Andy Well Gold Project
